Giving to Missions

Every member of Southside Baptist Church is not able to go on a mission trip.  However, every Southside member is able to participate in missions by giving to missions programs.  Some of the ways to give to missions at Southside include:

  1. Through tithes and offerings:

    15% of undesignated receipts at Southside help support missions through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program (13%) and through the Madison Baptist Association (2%).  An additional 5% is administered for other missions activities by the Missions Development Team.

    2. By contributing to special (designated) missions offerings. Two of the most notable of these are:

    a) The Lottie Moon Christmas offering - for International missions

    b) The Annie Armstrong Easter offering - for North American missions

  2. By giving to other special missions offering as the the Holy Spirit may lead.  If not designated for a particular mission activity, such offerings will be administered at the discretion of the Missions Development Team.
