Missions Development Team

At Southside Baptist Church, missions initiatives and activities are considered, approved, funded (as applicable) and coordinated under the oversight of the Missions Development Team (MDT). The MDT includes members as indicated in the table below.

Responsibilities of the Team

Earnestly seeking the will of God in regard to missions activities at Southside Baptist Church
Developing and administering the missions budget
Participating in missions partnerships with other organizations to achieve efficiency, optimize stewardship related to missions activities, and provide support to partners through prayer and personal involvement
Planning and coordinating mission trips
Considering, approving and coordinating missionary support for those serving on the mission field
Providing support for seminary students
Maintaining and coordinating the occupancy of mission houses owned by Southside Baptist Church
Coordinating and overseeing all other missions-related activities at Southside.

The Missions Development Team meets regularly on the first Wednesday of each month and meetings are open to all Southside members. Additional meetings are scheduled as needed.
