Baptist Global Response (BGR) In-Home Care Kits

The International Mission Board (IMB) has adopted a goal to collect and send 5,000 of these medical and hygiene Care kits to Sub-Sahara Africa. These kits will be distributed through the Baptist Global Response (BGR) which is the humanitarian arm of the IMB. These kits will provide an entrance to the homes by our representatives serving in countries where the IMB is not welcome. Churches and other groups are encouraged to participate by purchasing the exact items specified listed on the Madison Baptist Associations website http://madisonassociation.org/. Completed kits can be dropped off at University Baptist Church on July 23,24 and 25 between the hours of 8 AM - 5 PM. Our goal is 100 kits from Madison Baptist Association. The kits will be picked up during the following week.

The kits will be sent to Sub-Sahara Africa where the HIV/AIDS crises is affecting large segments of the population. The lack of health care results in millions dying, many without CHRIST. The only care many receive is in the homes.

The University Baptist Church (UBC) 809 Jordan Lane Huntsville, AL 35916 will serve as a collection point in the Madison County area. Eddie Hildebrand office phone 256-837-3611, cell 256-655-6875 is the contact to coordinate collection and pickup. It may be best to call Eddie to have someone meet you at the UBC door nearest the storage area.
