Confused?

by Raymond Dunton — Wings of Freedom Ministries

Lady with words is it time to straighten out your life“I don’t know what I don’t know.” Have you ever been there? Have you ever known anyone else there… and maybe they didn’t know, that they didn’t know what they didn’t know ~ okay; now I’m a little confused.

I believe the first thing we need to do before making any progress in life is to honestly and accurately assess exactly where we are. The next step should be to determine where we want or need to be. Next is the big challenge, and that is to establish a plan to get from Point A to Point B… And then even a bigger challenge, and that’s to implement and execute the Plan! But at the very beginning of each new chapter in our Life Journey, we realize the reality of, “I don’t know what I don’t know!” I like what John Pearson has identified as the Four Levels of Management Knowledge, and the challenge of, and need for commitment to, moving forward.

Level 1: I don’t know what I don’t know.

Level 2: I know what I don’t know.

Level 3: I have an action plan to address what I know I don’t know.

Level 4: I am knowledgeable and effective in this core competency and can mentor others.

Pretty good tools for advancing God’s Kingdom! Reminds me of Solomon’s request for wisdom (see 1 Kings 3:7ff). He starts out with stating that he is like a little child; “I do not know how to go out or come in.” Wow – and his Father God granted him all he asked for, and then some!

It’s our sincere prayer that you will make the choice to continually press into the challenges of life and move beyond Level 1. The liberating truth is that your Abba-Father wants you to prosper in all respects, just as your soul prospers (3 John 2).

We are so grateful for your commitment to interceding on our behalf and for those we serve. The following are some ministry opportunities we have during the month of May:

Raymond & Tuggy

P.S. As you know, Tuggy’s father passed away nearly a year ago (June 21, 2007). Her mother has just moved into Spruce Point Assisted Living Facility in Florence, Oregon. We will be flying to Oregon to help prepare her mother’s house for sale. Please pray that we will accomplish all that we need to during this time. Thank you.
